    How to request deletion of your personal data

    Under applicable privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection regulations), you have the right to request deletion of your personal information. Resort to Nature is committed to honoring these rights and making the process as straightforward as possible.

    Before You Delete Your Data

    Request a copy of your personal data before deletion. This includes your profile information, booking history, messages, and content you've shared.

    Consider the Consequences

    Account deletion will permanently remove your access to the platform, including all bookings, connections, and content. Active bookings may be affected.

    What Data Will Be Deleted

    When you request data deletion, we will permanently remove:

    • Profile Information: Name, email, bio, profile photos, and contact details
    • Account Data: Login credentials, preferences, and settings
    • Content: Posts, photos, reviews, and comments you've shared
    • Communication Data: Messages, connection requests, and notifications
    • Booking History: Past and cancelled bookings (subject to legal requirements)
    • Usage Data: Activity logs, search history, and analytics data
    • Marketing Data: Email subscriptions and communication preferences

    Data We May Retain

    For legal, safety, and business reasons, we may retain certain information:

    • Financial Records: Transaction history required for tax and accounting purposes
    • Safety Records: Reports of policy violations or safety incidents
    • Legal Compliance: Data required to comply with legal obligations
    • Anonymized Data: Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics data
    • Active Disputes: Information related to ongoing legal matters

    This retained data will be limited to what's necessary and will be deleted once legal requirements expire.

    How to Request Data Deletion

    Option 1: Self-Service Account Deletion

    Delete your account directly from your profile settings:

    1. Log in to your Resort to Nature account
    2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
    3. Review the deletion warning and confirm your decision
    4. Enter your password to verify your identity
    5. Receive confirmation email with deletion timeline

    Option 2: Email Request

    Send a data deletion request email to our privacy team:

    I am requesting the deletion of all personal data associated with my Resort to Nature account: [your registered email address].

    I understand that this action is permanent and irreversible.
